MIT Augmented Spaces: LAYERS OF PLACE

 

A recent series of presentations by a series of different artists and academics on the MIT Documentary Lab Series - LAYERS OF PLACE: The Art of Augmenting Public Spaces and Places with Stories and Technologies - confronts the space and stories that emerge from and through places by looking at 'augmentation' - raises an exciting set of questions about what happens to documentary modes and challenging new forms of storytelling. The questions of 'space and place' (De Certeau) and documentary modes, voice and technologies are looked at by pioneering artists.
