Street artists are claiming the free Canvas

Gated homes with very high walls are one of the main characteristics of many neighborhoods in the city of Kigali. Some of the artists have started to claim those free canvas and using them as away of expressing the ideas and thoughts. 

The acquisition of those empty canvas is not easy, as for some people murals art still has a negative connotation.
